Maranatha is a 3x published author and Creative Lead at The Writer’s Writer, where she mentors aspiring writers to become published authors. Maranatha also leads One Book One Child, a literary initiative, to provide books to Nigerian public school children.

Something that catalyzed your growth - besides working hard?
It would have to be meditation and constant reflection. I’m a deep thinker so I never do things just for the sake of.
Thoughtfulness also speeds up execution—I could think and plan for two hours and execution takes me just 10 minutes. Also, it helps me not to get caught up in anything; be it a trend, a recent success or even failure.
Through meditation and reflection, I examine my actions, motives, thoughts and experiences (and that of others) to build my self-awareness, understand my strengths and failings and just be better by the day.
Something you're most proud of?
Teaching others to write! I used to think nothing fulfilled me more than seeing my thoughts and ideas come to life but coaching others to write changed that perspective.
I loveee helping people articulate their thoughts and watch their ideas come to life. That satisfaction of holding their own book in their hands is everything and I’m honoured that I get to be a tool to bring their dreams to life.
I never thought I’d be able to do it or that I’d even be ‘enough’ based on what I knew. Apparently, I am. I get so excited just talking or thinking about it.
On Courage and Showing Up
Just do it. If you fail, great! You just figured out another method that does not work. Also, never be shy about what you’re building. Blow your trumpet like you have 100 mouths Trust me, passion is contagious.
