Something that catalyzed your growth - besides working hard?
Investing in myself has been one of the most transformative decisions I’ve made. It’s been all about pushing myself outside my comfort zone, especially when I started diving into new areas like psychology, which I had no formal exposure to. Embracing the discomfort that comes with doing hard stuff alongside a growth mindset and the belief that I can learn anything has really been a game changer.
This mindset has helped me explore complex psychological theories and understand human behavior & thought processes, which are essential to my work as a mindset coach. It has also allowed me to offer more depth to what I do.
This commitment to learning has also shifted how I see my potential. There were definitely moments of self-doubt, but each step I took, even when things felt unfamiliar, contributed to my growth. It’s allowed me to confidently blend both scientific principles and biblical truths in order to create a more well-rounded approach for my audience.
I've also made it a priority to surround myself with communities of people who are all about making an impact - like the amazing group we have at SHOWUP Circle. Being around driven, passionate individuals has been a huge source of motivation, support, and accountability. It’s not just about the knowledge or connections, but the energy that comes from being with others who are chasing their own visions of change.
And of course, my husband has also been a constant source of inspiration and fuel for my growth. He’s kept things running smoothly at home and always has my back when things get overwhelming. Together, we’ve built a strong foundation that allows me to keep growing and investing in myself.
Something you're most proud of?
My proudest moment has to be the launch of The Renewed Mindset. Balancing that with being a mom to a newborn and a 5-year-old definitely made things more challenging, and there were times when I wasn’t sure I could pull it all together. But seeing The Renewed Mindset come to life has been so rewarding.
What makes it even more fulfilling is hearing the personal stories and transformations of those who have embraced the journey of taking control of their minds and shifting their thinking. It’s a constant reminder of the impact and purpose behind the work I’m doing.
It’s also a reminder that when you push through barriers and stay true to your purpose, amazing things can happen. The launch of The Renewed Mindset reflects everything I’ve learned and still learning about the power of the mind and how it shapes our lives. And for that, I'm beyond proud.
On Courage and Showing Up
Showing up consistently requires both courage and commitment. It’s easy to get caught up in the need for perfection or fear of failure, but the truth is: imperfection is part of the process. The most important thing is to keep showing up, even on the tough days when doubts creep in. It’s in those moments that true growth happens.
Some quick advice I’ve found invaluable in my journey:
- Don’t wait for the perfect moment or all the answers. Begin with what you have, and the clarity will come as you move forward.
- Growth is rarely comfortable. It’s in stepping outside your comfort zone and embracing the discomfort that you begin to unlock your full potential.
- Every small step, every lesson learned, and every challenge overcome adds to your journey. Acknowledge and celebrate your progress as you go along the way.
- Stay connected to your why. When things get tough, remember why you started. Let your purpose fuel you to keep going, no matter what obstacles come your way.
Ultimately, showing up isn’t just about what you do - it’s about who you become in the process. And in showing up consistently, you build momentum that leads to the transformation you seek. Keep moving forward, even if the steps are small, because every step counts.
Worth Remembering
Your mind is like a light switch that can either lighten up your life or leave you in darkness depending on how you use it.
